This course is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of advanced implant planning, guided surgery processes, and the selection of appropriate materials and techniques for restoring implant cases. Attendees will gain insights into planning complex cases and optimising treatment outcomes.

  • Overview of implant abutment options and considerations
  • Advantages  and limitations of milled, cast and preformed abutments
  • Review of solutions and applications for angulated implant options
  • A deeper dive into implant planning and the guided process
  • Benefits of guided surgery in reducing surgical and restorative complications
  • Implant abutment and restorative considerations – dealing with irregular angles and positioning

Our Presenter:

Dr Albert Sharp received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Sydney, graduating with First Class honours and top of the year as well and winning the NSW Dental Board scholarship prize for academic performance. He is a partner at Penn Sharp Dental Surgeons in Sydney, Australia, where he continues to practice all aspects of general dentistry.

Albert joined Modern Dental as a clinical and technical advisor in 2003 and is currently the general manager of the technical department – with extensive emphasis on the fields of crown and bridge, implants and TMD/Sleep apnea appliances.
